Bye Week Teams: Chicago, Cleveland, LA Chargers, Minnesota, New England, Pittsburgh

Thursday, November 2

Buffalo at NY Jets
Line: Bills by 3

Oddsmakers are saying the Jets will pull off the upset on Thursday night, but the Bills always play the Jets tough on the road. This game will depend on the run game and they way LeSean McCoy is running, they may have the right idea.

Smooth’s Pick – Buffalo (21-19)

Sunday, November 5

LA Rams at NY Giants
Line: Rams by 3½

If the Giants are going to win another game this year, they have to come together. Team suspensions are going to hurt this team badly. And the way the Rams are playing, they could give them another loss.

Smooth’s Pick – LA Rams (25-16)

Atlanta at Carolina
Line: Panthers by 1½

The Panthers have the edge being at home and their strong defense. But the Falcons also were able to get a win over the Jets, but it was more difficult. This is a must win for both teams if they’re going to catch the Saints in the NFC South.

This is my upset special!
Smooth’s Pick – Atlanta (25-21)

Baltimore at Tennessee
Line: Titans by 4

Despite the 40-0 shellacking on Miami, the Ravens seem to play dead when they’re on the road. This is a trap game for them. Tennessee always seem to play better at home. They struggled against a weaker Browns team. Their offense should wake up this weekend.

Smooth’s Pick – Tennessee (24-17)

Cincinnati at Jacksonville
Line: Jags by 4½

Cincinnati’s offense will be put to the test this week against one of the NFL’s best defenses. The Jags are especially good at home. However the Bengals have won 4 in a row on Jacksonville. That streak may come to an end.

Smooth’s Pick – Jacksonville (27-21)

Denver at Philadelphia
Line: Eagles by 8

Philly has come together at the right time, acquiring Jay Ajayi to bolster their run game. On the other side, the Broncos haven’t looked good the last three weeks. It may get worse as they head into Philly for a road game.

This is my lock!
Smooth’s Pick – Philadelphia (31-10)

Indianapolis at Houston
Line: Texans by 7

(Updated 11-3-2017)
The line has gone down on this game, because both teams just suffered season ending setbacks with their starting QB’s.  Andrew Luck won’t be back for the rest of the season for the Colts.  He was put on IR.  The Texans recived some bad news on Thursday as rookie QB Dashaun Watson suffered an ACL and will be out for the rest of the season.  Tom Savage will be the starter this Sunday.  Despite the odds coming down in half, the Texans should be able to handle a weaker Colts team.

Smooth’s Pick – Houston (31-9)

Tampa Bay at New Orleans
Line: Saints by 7

The Bucs were supposed to get better, but they’ve lost their last 4 games. And now they have to take on a revived Saints team, who have won 5 in a row and look to control the NFC South. This game could get ugly fast.

Smooth’s Pick – New Orleans (35-12)

Arizona at San Francisco
Line: Cardinals by 2½

Despite trading for quarterback Jimmy Garafalo, the Niners are still a bad team on the road to rehab. They at least mortgage their future, but will have to find a way to beat the Cardinals who are also struggling with the QB situation.

Smooth’s Pick – Arizona (25-23)

Washington at Seattle
Line: Seahawks by 7

The Redskins got humiliated at home verses the Eagles and now have to take on another “angry bird”. Injuries with give the “Legion of Boom” a decisive edge at home.

Smooth’s Pick – Seattle (28-17)

Kansas City at Dallas
Line: Pick ‘em

Why? Because both teams are evenly matched. Both have great QB’s, RB’s and WR’s. The both have great defenses. They both have strong offensive lines. But without Ezekiel Elliot for 6 games, they will have to find a way to keep their rushing game sharp.

Smooth’s Pick – Kansas City (21-18)

Oakland at Miami
Line: Raiders by 3

The Raiders Super Bowl dreams need to come together this week, as they’ve lost 5 out of 6. They travel to South Beach, where the Dolphins continue to paste together victories. But their 40-0 slaughter at Baltimore makes them glad of home sweet home.

Smooth’s Pick – Oakland (23-20)

Monday, November 6

Detroit at Green Bay
Line: Lions by 2½

Hard to believe the Lions are favored, but without Aaron Rodgers, the Packers are just mere mortals. They lost two straight, and a tough Lions team will be looking to do something rare at Lambeau Field, win.

Smooth’s Pick – Detroit (21-19)
